8 Painted Projects (Friday Features + Link Up)

It’s the first week of doing weekly Friday Features from the Remodelaholics Anonymous party… and I’m already late! That’s our summertime schedule for you. :) In case you missed it, we’re going to try something new and share some new features from the talented bloggers at the link party AND from all of you talented readers, every Friday (and on Thursday night if I’m on my game). So if you want to be featured, link up your best projects here (or below), and share your best photos here or by messaging us on Facebook.

If you have a free day or a free weekend, you can try one of these painted projects! Paint is the cheapest, easiest way to get a new look.

8 Paint Projects You Could Do This Weekend

Paint is one of my favorite materials. It’s great for quick update on a piece of furniture or an accent wall, and it’s even great for staining wood (any color you want!). How have you been using paint lately?

Techies DIY Adventures gave her flat panel barn door some character by painting colored “planks” on it — I bet you could create a cool reclaimed wood look like this, too!

The Red Painted Cottage painted a whimsical pattern on her chair, and she has a free pattern so you can, too! Wouldn’t this be cute on a patio set in a garden?

And a few projects from our Facebook crowd — see all of our reader projects here.

Melissa showed this table some love! “I bought the 2nd hand table which was painted shabby White & waxed (pic1). Next, I used paint stripper to get it off, back to bare wood(pic2), the sticker said made in Indonesia, (I was thinking of just pine, but I think it is a harder wood). Then I stained the top in a Baltic Pine, about 3 coats to deepen it, and then a clear sealer over the top (pic3), and undercoated the rest. Lastly, I used a beautiful Dulux Super Enamel Black High Gloss, this paint is gorgeous to work with.”

Karla took a rusty old chair frame and gave it a coat of paint and a new seat for a boho chic kinda look.
